Crash! Burn! Oh the horror!

Unread post by Bedurndurn » Thu Sep 25, 2003 6:59 pm

So I recorded a cover for Crash, but if my past covers have been any indication I should skip the "Do you like it?" and go straight to "Okay, what'd I fuck up now?"

So here it is

So... umm.. what'd I fuck up this time?

dude, don't be so hard on yourself. its really not that bad.

guitar: good rhythm, stayed on beat, played almost flawlessly. a little rough on the "into me" part, but that's a hard part to play. overall, guitar was very good, i don't know what ive heard from you in the past, but the way you describe it, it was a disaster. this was really good

vocals: really, you were on key about 70 percent of the time. you had some problems staying in, but nothing that couldn't be fixed very easily w/ some practice. especially on the "when i come intoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo you" part, it was kind of a coin toss, but you got it more times than you didn't

from the way you introduced it, i was very impressed. i was expecting to turn it off after the first 5 seconds. good job man.

oh, not a big fan of the second guitar part. kinda came through muffled. maybe if it were a little louder and served as the lead part.

cool voice over. and you hit that note really well. good job man.

Great job on the guitar. Sounds like you're getting some buzzing though on that b string. Almost like you're not fretting that pinky totally. Leave it open if it's a problem for you. Sounds fine open as far as I'm concerned. Only other guitar comment is maybe try playing the strums a little more fluidly. It sounds a bit too stacatto.

I was really expecting a trainwreck for the vocals based on your post. They're actually pretty good. Trust me, I know about being your own toughest critic when it comes to singing, but I thought you did a solid job. Keep 'em coming!

You fucked nothing up man, great job on that one.

I think your voice is pretty damn good.
Compare http://www.angelfire.com/un/borocks/songs.html mine.
check out if you haven't done it yet.

I think you managed to do some parts a lot better than I did.
