yo
Yea I check these boards pretty much 3-4 times a week, but I hardly post. It's more or less used as a way for me to get ideas for how I wanna play a certain DMB song solo. I've been on here since way back in the day.
I figured the other day I should try and post more and get more involved
Perhaps I'll throw up some of my songs sometime. I gotta find a host or whatnot, but I'll look into. Few covers, one or two originals.

ALso
the songs on the bonus CDs are pulls from the soundboard (ie. they are pretty good quality. You can hear very little crowd)
Most people probably figured this, but the question asked about 3 posts back wanted specific info, so I thought it might be important to note.
Peace

OK, I can't play it quite like this.
Verse
E:----------------------
B:----------------------
G:----------------------
D:----5--4-------------- x3 then "End of Verse"
A:----------5--4--5--4--
E:-5--------------------
2 3 1 2 1 2 1
I am just pulling of on the A string 5--4--5--4 so I actually play 5p4--5p4. I get the same sound on the notes, but I am missing the percussive sound because I am not struming any muted chords. Any suggestions on how to strum it properly?

Do you know how to play The Stone? Take that exact strumming pattern, and modify the DIDO tab to this:StickyMU wrote:OK, I can't play it quite like this.

Damn, nice tip! I haven't gotten it completely but I can already tell a huge difference. An interedting thing to do is to play the verse of The Stone while listening to Drive In Drive Out.....the rhythm matches perfectly. It is eerie....and it doesn't really sound to good since the notes are all wrong. But the beat is the same. Thanks

In DIDO, does this part:
correspond to the chorus (Drive in, drive out, I'm leaving...)?
Code: Select all
E:-------------------
B:-------------------
G:-------------------
D:-5----\9-----5--5-- <---3on last 5's
A:-x-----x-----x--x--
E:-3----\7-----5--5-- <---2on5
go away
