how do i play this chord correctly?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

the way i play it and i know the way dave plays it is to barre the 1st fret with your index finger and cover the 3rd fret strings with your pinky

You can also bar the 3rd fret with your 3rd finger. Just another way....Dave does play it that other way though(bar 3rd with 4th finger)....enjoy...peace

Looks like a normal Bb chord to me- just bar the first fret and use your ring finger to get the others.

Yeah....that's what my post said(1st finger on 1's, 3rd fingers on 3's)....but Dave actually plays it a different way(1on1, 4on3). I don't know why he does that...a little unnecessary but oh well. I play it w/ the 1st finger and 3rd.....peace

Bb

yeah, I hate that Bb chord. If I have to play it I'll use my 1 finger for the a string and I'll bar the other 3 with my 3 finger (my 4 finger ain't as strong as Dave's :D ) The high e string ends up muting but what the heck. I like the Bb chord on the 6-8-8-7-6-6 chord better since the action is better down there.

peace,

Ken

I usually do it like this:

Code: Select all

finger--x12341
fret----x13331
String--EADGBE
Bar the 1st fret, but then play the other strings seperately, just like how I play an A chord, with my first three fingers. Except this way i use my 2-3-4 fingers and bar with the pointer.
