Recommend Electric Guitars Around $500 For Me To Try

I've decided I would really like to get a solid electric guitar and start trying to do some stuff with effects and what not, so what are some good electrics you guys recommend in the 500$ price range?

Danelectro 56 Pro. No guitar has as much character for $400. Save your $100 and use it to get some pedals.

Schecter makes some really nice looking, playing, and sounding electrics for that price. I would definitely go with them. You seem to get better bang for your buck for going with a lesser known guitar company.

I would never buy an Epi over a Schecter. Epiphones are so cheaply made compared to Schecters. They use the same pickups too, but if you want REAL Seymour Duncan humbuckers, go with the Schecter C-1 Classic for $700.

i have one of these http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=h ... e_id/36537

Its not a bad guitar, Eventhough it is a mexie. I still has great tone and looks great. People that hear it cant tell, anthough it still has some of the bad traits that all of the mexican ones have. good luck

i'd say a fender thinline tele, ---
or the ibanez artcore series. < those are great.
schecters are great too--beautiful.

HOWEVER, if your just messing with effects we all know that can be done without having an electric, an acoustic with electronics can do amazing things. (i.e.-timmy)

so-- i guess im saying consider that unless you really are interested in playing lead and rthym in an electric setting-- figure out if its worth it for you.

If you really want a great electric I would suggest to save up another 500 or so and get a Fender American Deluxe Strat. I played it the other day and fell in love. I can't imagine anything feeling or sounding better.

Takamine EG544 was amazing when played it. Sounded like a $1000 guitar and felt even better. It was even easier to play than the Taylor 614ce they had.

Edit: NM I missed the "solid electric guitar" in your first post. My bad!

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.
