Very nice cover. I like the crispness of the recording. Nothing bad to say about it. Have you ever heard the Crosby, Stills, Nash version? It's probably my favorite.

I really like your voice, it sounded great in this one.

The guitar needs to be a little neater. It could be better. You just need to work on it some more.

it sounds good dude, and ur voice sounds good too. but when u do the slide down to the 12 fret ur only doing each note, when on the G and b string u do a struming thing while picking the notes. if u listen enough to paul doing it u can hear the difference.

If you don't mind an honest critique, I think you need to work on the picking/strumming pattern of the part of the intro/verse up at the 12th fret......you need to give it a bit more life.

Otherwise, your voice sounded great and you pull the song off nicely.

Thanks to everyone who has listened so far and thanks for these comments regarding the guitar portion. This is the first song I've ever recorded fingerpicking. I've been playing guitar for almost 15 years now and until about 6 months ago, always used a pick. I always knew that learning how to fingerpick would open up many more opportunities in my playing but I am still struggling with it, which I think is apparent in this song and confirmed by these critiques (which is what this forum is all about - good to see it in action). I'm self-taught, so I'm sure I have some improper techniques, but I know the fingerpicking basics and practice simply by messing around for hours at a time, as I've always done. I know there must be a better way. Any suggestions? I would also like to add that it's much more rewarding as a musician to stop satisficing your ability. For so many years I thought, Eh, I'm good enough with the pick, learning something new isn't worth it. Besides, I'm not out to be some genius classical guitarist. What an arrogant mindset. Turns out that a great deal of songs sound better without a pick, in my opinion. Even though I have a long way to go with this style, it feels good to know I'm trying something new on something so familiar, so to speak.

obligated? hell no man, you're one of the ones i look forward to posting.

i gotta go w/ everyone else as far as the picking goes. but it sounds like a moderately difficult song so i'm not hating at all.

your voice is pin point on. it's perfect through the whole thing. great voice as always.

thanks for reposting. sorry i missed this on the first go round.

that was really great, id say ignore that 12th fret suff, the beatles play it just like that with a slight hiatus after the slide, you voice is both techically spot on but also distinctive.... very impressive

what do u mean forget the 12th fret stuff, paul (since it really is more of a paul song considering he wrote it and hes the only one playing it on even the beatles versions) plays it on the 12th fret and such.
