ok, those two statements make more since. i thought you were tuning your one guitar, adn that's just rediculous (im sure you agree). if i had an extra guitar, id maybe put it in an alternate tuning...probaby dadgad or something like that. so yea, i can see what you guys are saying now.

I had D'addario standard light 12-string strings that they gave me accidentally when I went to buy some standard EJ-16's, and by the time I realized I had lost hte receipt so they just sat around for awhile b/c I use Elixir's on my 12-string guitar. I don't play 12 much so that's why, I still hate elixirs...so anyways, one day I decided to try this raised b crap on my Taylor...one guitar of four other standard acoustics...it was kinda fun for a minute to play SOL, then I was pretty bored after about ten minutes. note, I actually did set up work for this...I raised the saddle a bit and such, I had it so it wouldn't buzz, but still, it was just incredibly stupid. it just sounds incredibly cheesy to play anything else on it...I'm not a big fan of alternate tunings in general, but this was just absolutely absurd. just ridiculous. raised b brings absolutely nothing to the table. it's just stupid. hate.

see gcom, you are just trying to start something here aren't you. you feel left out that app soldier and geekmug were getting into and nobody was yelling at you. it's ok. we all know you really like raised B. you dream about it and i bet you even got a picture of yourself and raised B in you wallet. I think you should ask Raised B out. i hear she's pretty easy, once you raise the action a bit.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": You're a hooker? Jesus, I forgot! I just thought I was doing GREAT with you!

im not a huge fan of alt tunings either. but i don't hate them. my roomie plays dashboard a lot so who know's what you'll get when you pick his up. but pretty much everything i write and want to play is in standard, or drop d or somthing like that. but yea, i have to agree, i just don't like alt tunings.

*and geekmug and i aren't getting into anything, it was a misunderstanding and its over. :D
