I use http://www.venturesonline.com/ - they are rock solid, but far from cheap.

http://www.hostrocket.com/ has similar features as VO but are cheaper. Their support blows, but for your purposes, they'll probably be fine.

This is the site for web hosting info: http://webhostingtalk.com/

I use bestonthenet, and I am happy with their service...but I believe there could be better...

get ahold of XOOSH...what he has rocks for a smaller site (BOTN is better for like what Kanter does IMO)...

if you want to just have a few tunes up for free awhile, IUMA.com is real good...and yeah...Angelfire was good for awhile, but then when a bunch of us started doing covers, they tightened up BIGtime!

I pay like $37 a year for 150MB...not bad...just make sure all your music files are Mp3 and not anything like Wav and you can fit a whole bunch...in addition, you will have to purchase a domain name whatever.com and that will cost about $20-something a year I believe...

I know relatively NO coding, but I used frontpage (and Isaac ;)) and came up with this Gcom,

http://www.cadenzaspell.com

good luck :)

I think I'm going to shorten my public last name...what do you guys think?

Elliot Kleinfelder to Elliot Klein? does that sound goofy? They both are...

Nah, not too goofy. If I were gay, I'd definitely go to the site! All joking aside, sounds good Elliot :)
