Firedancer86/Philip Lucas Music

Unread post by firedancer86 » Thu Sep 29, 2005 5:43 pm

If anyone is interested, I have bought a new computer (after much time away) and in that time, have recorded and written much...soon i will have a fully functioning web site all my own with real preforming artist page stuff...legit and working with samples and ways to buy cd's...if anyone is interested in helping out with the site, i would appreciate that much...until then, I have opened a temporary myspace to host some clips and work as a headquarters for my music...the music on the site comes from my glorified demo album of 10 original songs (over 50 minutes), but need to be ironed a bit...some things aren't at their best...it was recorded with a Boss BR-8 (which was amazing in 1997) but I now have a Korg D32XD and a lot better equipment...but until I re-record, this is what the drafts sound like...

if anyone is interested, go to: http://www.myspace.com/philiplucasmusic

or for non-music info: http://www.myspace.com/philiplucas

I have a lot of good memories from this place from way back...if anyone wishes to give comments, good or bad, I would love to hear them...detailed comments are best and criticism has never stopped me, so feel free to speak your mind...remember...I'm a work in progress!

thanks all,
Philip Lucas

Im not much for critiquing people who are way better than me, and I cant really come up with anything I dont like. I listened to Smile, and For Her. I think I liked Smile better, but they were both awesome. Damn you for being 18 and owning me (and damn near everyone here) on musical/singing ability. Let me know when the cd comes out man.

I dont know that Ive even posted more than 2 or 3 songs of my own (that I can remember), I hope youre not priaising me and confusing me with someone else. I dont sing at all either, my voive is terrible. I havent written anything in quite a while (havent played much guitar at all either) But no, none of my recordings are posted anywhere. Theyre all just rough cuts that I send to a friend so he can write lyrics over top of them, he can sing and write pretty good, weve never actually gotten together and tried to record something half decent though, sucks.

I really like For Her. I think the shaker needs to be turned down a little so its in the background, it seems a little to powerful.

i also think djembe would sound really good on that track
