What Will Become Of Me?...lyrics

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

What Will Become Of Me?...lyrics

Unread post by cincydave » Mon Oct 03, 2005 8:19 am

I'm having trouble understanding what Dave is saying in Jimi Thing/What Will Become Of Me? on the Some Devil Bonus CD 3/22/03. The part I can't understand is at 7:40-7:55.

I like this version the best but thats the only part of the song I can't translate, and I know that most of you are pretty good at understanding Dave's mumbling. Thanks

The part at 7:40 sounds like he is saying is "Oh I'm love away, rain the love away my head."

i never heard that version, i always listened to the one on L@LC.
but anyways, the lyrics are hard indeed ... but btw ... don't you think it's one of the best Dave's riff to play?? it's not that hard, you just need a little practice for the chords and that's it. I just love it ... people i played that to just loved it also

Definetely a beautiful song for any kind of mood your in. If your in a great mood then its a beautiful song and if your in a sad or depressed mood then its a comforting and understanding song. Great all around.

As for the lyrics sometimes dave just mumbles nothing or half-words or two words jumbled together.
"They called it Aspen because "buttpencil" was already taken."

--my little brother(stoned 1st time :) )

"A commom mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is underestimating the ingenuity of complete fools." --Ford Prefect

"Don't forget to bring a towel." --Towlie

Go to dmbalmanac.com for the real lowdown.

The first post I ever made on these boards was asking the very same question.

Ole' Jayme was the first to answer, bless his heart.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I always talk about how I love this song. I think it was even in my 5 DMB songs I would play. Everytime I play guitar I think I always throw this in at the beginning or at the end.

Great song :)
