Would you buy a Samick guitar?
Would you buy a Samick guitar?
I want to pick up a second acoustic and preferably and elec/acoustic and was considering a Samick. I don't need anything fabulous, its just to dick around with and probably plays some improv gigs at the cafe by my apt.
Just curious if anyone has played one before and if you had any feelings on it.
I was gonna pay like $100 to $170, not a lot, just a cheap one.
Thanks.

If you want it to eventualy fall apart in your hands, get a squire. If you get a cheap ass acoustic, go for a Yamaha or Epiphone. They will last longer than a squire. I would lean more twards a cheap epiphone. We have some 150 dollar ones here. For a good guitar, they are crap. For a throw around, they are decent.crash_in_to_me wrote: if you need a cheap gutiar... at least get a squier.. at least

agreed! i saw a used twelve string guild for really cheap and almost jumped at it.... but its not worth it. but it sounded so good! but i don't need one....
Try to find a used one. I think mitchell makes some pretty good cheap guitars. i've had one for about 7 years now and its still in great shape and sounds good. the action is kinda big on this particular one though. but the others i've played are relatively good for cheap.

get a Fender DG series...great guitars for cheap. I own a DG-10LH and am now just realizing how good a guitar it actually is. The strings I had on it, that came with it, were 8 months old and still sounded reasonably new...also, this mother stays in tune for months at a time, even with hard playing. Great guitar...or try one of their new guitars they started making..the Grand Acoustics..they have some beauts on their website..
