i give my regards to dmb

this is just an opinion, but i believe dmb is one of the saviors of music today. they are one of the few good artists that are popular, but is still actually music. put it this way, im open to music, but im sorry to say the moment i flip on vh1 or mtv 90% of the time i turn it off, and i cant help but laugh over the lack of creativity and how many times ive heard the same thing only with a different tempo. dmb is one of the few who helped perserve actual music and creativity to mainstream. without dmb it would have never opened me up to music and the thought of being creative, learning the gift of being able to play guitar, kept me going learning piano when i thought i was about to drop it, and also from dmb i have branched off them to listen to other good music. so i give my regards to the dmb for the gift of their music, the ability to play music, being creative knowing there is no limitations to music, and for giving me something to shoot for that i enjoy.

i agree. few bands today, IMO are "good" music. but DMB has deffinately raised my musical awareness.

Have you ever seen some of the mods created after that video came out? The absolute best was SWK as Neo in the fight scene from the second Matrix film where Neo fights a thousand agents. Hillarious.

Oh, yeah - about the thread...I think DMB is a great band that performs well live and Dave writes very good songs. Although, I will say that when your peers consist mostly of Top-40 here today GONE today bands that never deviate from the set list they played the night before it's easier to accept DMB as one of the top bands out there.

With the exception of U2 and Pearl Jam I can't think of any other contemporary bands that have such a loyal following and play quality music (with different set lists). Please list any other bands you can think of that I might have forgotten.
