capo on stay or leave

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

there are some songs that i acompany and i bust out the double capos man. capos are the way to go to make new voicings and seperate out guitars. no one wants to hear 3 guitars all playing the exact same thing. but if you bust out a couple capos and whammo it fills it out like nobody's business. you shouldn't rely on a capo but it is a tool. like a finger slide or a pick. you gotta know when to use it.

in conclusion. I heart capos too.

i have 2 capos. one is a dunlop trigger capo for actual normal capoing. on is a Keyser that i use backwards for DADGAD simulation and i cut part of the rubber and filed it back to use frontwards and simulate drop D or drop C. between the two i am set.
