dylan does kick ass, and i know im going to get killed for this, but i think he's another one of those awesome writers taht should have had someone else sing his stuff.

lol. i don't think anyone would say dylan really has that great of a voice, but people knew that and loved him anyway because he always had something to say.

I think his old shit isnt bad, as far as vocals go. The gravely voice kinda fits the folk style think he had going. I think the fact that his chords were so simple and his voice was nothing special really allowed his lyrics to shine through.
Now, the new Dylan. Ugh. Shudder. I saw him two years ago, and his voice was just gone. Literally gone. He had to have like 4 people back him up, and it still sounded like shit.

what? he didn't sing. he spoke. it was like a folk rap artist. he's basically monotone. (not really but you get my point). BUT like isaac said, his lyrics made up for it.
