So have you tried it?

And by "it" I mean a Washburn guitar. You might have read in another thread that I just bought one, a Washburn G30/G40, but I ask this question because it is a guitar that is priced as low as $130 (I got mine for that much before tax), it has a solid top, beautiful wood coloration and grain, and the best sound that I have heard for guitar under $400. Granted I never played an Alvarez, but everyone thinks mine cost around $500. Just trying to get feedback on it and to let someone who needs a great sounding guitar for a little price.

My dad owns one. I play it a lot. I like it, but the one he has feels really fake to me. It feels really plasticy nexts to the Guild he owns. It's a good sounding guitar though.

Hmm...Maybe I haven't played enough guitars, but mine doesn't seem fake to me. You probably have played more than I have, so I'll take your word on it. I think that the strings it comes with are horrible, and the frets are too high (interferes with sliding). The sound of it is so rich in tone tho, yum.

I will so not contest that at all...Guilds are the shiznat...my Madeira (Guild import) was from the mid 70's, I gotta for $50 and shoulda paid $500. Guild knows how to make a gee tar...
