for real...listen to how he talks in interviews compared to how he talks in IEM's...he's always talking in that deep, muffled voice in the mic and in interviews, and when people aren't supposed to be listening, he talks all fast in a much higher pitched voice...

in sociology they teach you that one person occupies many many statuses as well as play many roles w/in those statuses. as your status changes, your role changes. as your role changes, your behavior changes. everyone does it....EVERYONE!!! but that really means is that you change your behavior according to who it is that you have surrounded yourself with. take guitar for example. if you were a guitar teacher, that would be a status that caused your role to change to a leader and an advisor as well as others. now say that you go sit in a classroom of anykind and your status changes to student. your role and behavior have now changed to a peer to students or a discple of higher learning and no longer the teacher. so just because you change your behavior, doesn't mean you're a fake.

that does not apply to Dave's case...it's a very obvious thing...there's a difference between switching roles and just plain acting! it doesn't take a soc major to differentiate the two either...

im not a soc major. and yes he can change the way he acts around mic's and reporters and the way he acts say on the stage or around his friends. that is definetly not faking. faking would be loving bluegrass music, but letting producers turn you into a punk singer so you would sell more.
