i always just play the D power chord. its definetly a D. if you wanna play d maj, then that'll add some high to it, but i just stick w/ the power chord.

sonds like your just mad cuz power chords rule. they are great for ending solos or adding cadences. sure you shouldn't really make a song out of them but they have their place. to deny them will only limit you.

anyways isn't that chord a Dsus2 Aug5 or dim6. the 3 on the G is an A# and sounds terrible. so i am guessing you meant 2 right there.

i'm not mad at anything, and no its not meant to be a 2, it's a 3 dumbass.
Have you even heard ddtw?

play this:

Code: Select all

E:------------
B:------------
G:-3-------7--
D:-x-------7--
A:-1-------5--
D:---------0--
then play this:

Code: Select all

E:------------
B:-3-------3---
G:-3-------2--
D:-----------
A:-----------
D:-----------
Notice anything there? Or can you not hear it?
It's an alternation on the powerchords dickweed..
