It depends. If you wanna be like Dave, I hear he uses D'Adarrios, but in my opinion Elixirs rock. Honestly, Elixirs made my last guitar sound 20x better. They give this sweet tone that I have heard nothing else do. They are comfortable on the fingers and slide really well (maybe too well). They are way expensive tho. I paid $25 for my last set of Elixirs. I am thinking about getting Martin SP lights or mediums. I hear they are really good. D'Adarrios do the trick too.

I buy Martins, usually. D'Addarios and Elixirs are just too damn expensive for me..the Martins have a GREAT sound the first few days, then they mellow out to a nice sound. :)

Hey, I really didn't buy them...I bought a crappy guitar from Guitar Center that I returned, and the guy threw in the set. I thought it listed @ $25 on the receipt. This is why I would not buy them from there...those price Nazis

how about "I don't like the sound of uncoateds", because you'll find a multitude of people who strongly disagree with that statement. myself included.

Hmmm... D'Add's cost me $3.50/pack, martins $6.50/pack

I will say it again

Dean Markley Signature Series Vintage Bronze Acoustic. The only other strings better are Martin SP+. The reason why is because they last longer. Dean Markley is good, but D'addarios are over rated, EXTREMLY overated. I have used them only a few times, and took them off as soon as I could, and put back on some Dean Markleys. Dean Markleys rule!
Yes, I am in a box
