Fool to Think

Unread post by sbhanot » Sat Sep 13, 2003 4:42 am

I heard when dave played this solo he used chords - is there an alternate way nayone plays this so it sounds full? I'm playing solo so its both tough and kinda empty sounding. Any help would be great - thanks!

Depending on how long you've been playing, if you think fool to think is tough, then you should really learn how to play it the way that kanter has 1st, just for pure practice and timing, i've never heard dave use chords for the song so I dunno..

well, the picking version isn't tough to play, but its tough to sing with the picking - I sing better with strumming than picking.... I heard dave played this live at benaroya hall and strums chords.....

If you want to play chords, the chorus is two chords.....a D5 and some form of G can't quite remember, but playing just a g sounds fine. This is how i do it, sounds a lil plain but it is fuller.

Dave and Tim did an amazing version of Fool to Think on 3/25/03. I never really liked this song buty after hearing this acoustic verson, I fell in love with it. Dave picks the entire time. (although he uses that strumming/picking method)
