wow people, this is a definate reminder not to judge a book or album by its cover or setlist. AMAZING concert. one of my faves for sure. i love the mix, it sounds like a very small club. and the jam is nuts.

I love this show, the energy is great. Dave's talking and the stuff like the 'uh..two..uh two three" before SMTS are awesome. and the jam is just incredible. hot shit.

Yeah I really like the small venue feel this one has, with Dave telling stories and stuff.

It says TBD on the side, but if you look closely at the cover art you can actually read the date and it says 4.30.1996

So i have a 4.29.96 show labeled Crash cd release party played at the max. There must have a been a few release party shows.

*edit*

From the Almanac:
04.29.96 Max (Crash Release Party) Charlottesville, VA
04.29.96 Trax Charlottesville, VA
04.30.96 Classic Amphitheatre (Crash Release Show) Richmond, VA

Yup, there were.
I was at the trax show and it too was a "release party"
That is fucking sweet that you've been to a trax show. What was a show there like?

I love the overall feel of this show. They sound like they are having so much fun and Dave's voice is terrific. It makes me miss the old days.

Like I said, the beginning of SMTS is awesome, as well as his a-capella 'this land is your land'

And 'Jam' is better than any of the slow songs. Man, I've got that sucker on repeat.
