Are you a stage or a studio guitarist?
i thought this would be an interesting poll... i know some of you may not have any experience on a stage with a band, so thats cool, but just think about what you would act like if given the chance.
now for the definitions:
studio: this is the catagory i fall in. i play in front of people with my band at least twice a week. you wont see me doing backflips or anything, im really just there to play. i like structure when we play. defined lead parts, and if given the chance, id play every song 3 times playing different parts to get it exactly the way i think it should sound. i like improvision to a certain degree, but i wont really improvise most of my lead parts.
live: the showmasters. my friend who just left on friday was in our band, and he was a stage guitarist. he will improvise pretty much anything you give him when he gets the chance. likes to jump around and what not. they dont mind if things are left up to the imagination before ya go up on stage. spur of the moment people.
now, i know most of the people are primarily acoustic guitarists, so i can assume what the answer will be.. interesting nonetheless.

Skillwise I'm more of a studio guitarist, but thats because I'm not very good at soloing.
HOWEVER, I love playing in front of people and typically I perform better in front of people.

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

stage for sure...if I have to do something exact I get more nervous...if I just roll with it and see where it goes, I play a lot better and have more fun as well...I can do the studio side of it b/c you have to have both elements if you want to be successful, but it's a lot harder as evidenced by my lack of home recordings...if I'm not in the studio w/ a band and producer, it's hard to motivate myself b/c I just like to roll!
