So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Dave doesn't play guitar on SAWG and he doesn't play during the DG verse.

pat has a video here for ants marching
http://www.ourmedia.org/node/15676
i would watch that. and just practice it a lot. try to mute the other strings, when im playing it every single string is muted except for the D and the A. i think thats how its supposed to be so you dont hear those.

Ill see what I can do, I have problems uploading stuff so maybe you could dl it off soulseek from me. Or we'll have to try and find other alternate means.

I dont really play this at all, and if youve already got a video of Dave himself playing it himself, I dont know what more I could do.
I dont have a video, yet, there is one on the way that I am getting B&P'd. The tab that I am using just sounds a lot different than what it sounds like when he is playing it. It seems like it is just the bass notes for the intro on the tab, but when he plays it, it sounds like there is more than just the bass notes being played. I dont even know if this makes any sense.

I think that he is just messing around with these chords
Code: Select all
E:---------------
B:--------------------
G:--------------------
D:-7-----5------3--------
A:-x-----x------x-----
E:-5-----3------1----
I have the video of this on my computer at home I will try to post it tomorrow

Ok, Ive just put BOWA and Ants Marching in my soulseek "DMB Help Vids" Folder. If you dont have soulseek, I dont know how I can get these vids to you, I try to upload them to yousendit, or email them to a gmail account I made for people to view my videos, and all my uploads time out because of my shitty internet here. If you have any more suggestions, let me know. If youve got slsk, just add my name: jsgksu, and dl the vids.
Couple of excuses for video quality.
A lightbulb went out in my room yesterday and the vids are kinda dark, youre gonna have to fuck with the brightness.
I did Ants a little different the the real way. I hammer instead of slide, I played it slow with the slide at the very end.
BOWA, sorry it took 12 years, but its up.
I did them fast and slow, so hopefully they help. I havent played in a while and didnt wanna do a bunch of takes so theyre not my best, but I think/hope theyll help.
