Crowd estimates are expected to be in the 100,000 range. AOL will make an 'official' announcement on September 12 with additional information (read: more about tickets). Billboard additionally says that the Central Park show will be the long rumored November 4th release, and the Gorge release, which some stores were listing as a December release, will now hit stores in early 2004. The Gorge run from 2002 will be a whopping 3 DVD - 6 CD set release, according to Billboard's source.

I hope that is the case - I hate the videography in folsom field, and there was WAY too much editing. Hopefully this means less cameras, better shots, less "fancy" stuff editing-wise.isaac wrote:NICE!
nice nice nice.
but will only a couple months allow for decent editing?i don't want another barebones release...
amen, i hate all that zooming in crap. i just want a steady camera on the band. in a perfect world...and im not sure why they haven't thought of this yet, they'd have 6 camera angles, one on each of the members, and one on the full band. (screw one for the guests unless its Timmy, then they can add another). then on the dvd you should be able to choose the camera angle you want.TrippnBill686 wrote:I hope that is the case - I hate the videography in folsom field, and there was WAY too much editing. i mean come on, you don't buy the dvd to hear the music really, you do it to watch the music, not all that editing jumping around crap.

screw one for the guests unless it's Timmy?
what about Warren Haynes? The Flecktones?
whaaa?
anyway, the editing on Folsom was horrible. i wound up not buying it because of the sloppy job...
keep it simple. the more you do to it, the more you distract/detract from the music.
it's great that whoever edited it is a wannabe MTV producer, but i don't need that shit when i'm watching a DVD like that.

I am absolutely against only seeing Dave. But ENTIRELY too many fast-moving crowd shots, too much flashy triple-screen effects, changing the shot every half-second.... I just want an accurate representation of that concert (the entire band obviously) without any "high-tech" editing stuff.Cor wrote:I like being able to see all of the band rather than only Dave.
