Unread post by JamminStevo » Sat Aug 13, 2005 8:34 pm

i have cool edit pro 2.0 and i have a microphone plugged into my computer through a connecter. the microphone is for a karioke machine...so the plug is as big as an amp plug. well i have a connecter to make it plug into the computer..

anyway.... i hear myslef clearly through my computer speakers...but when i try to record something through the mic. on cool edit pro...it sounds like someone from snoopy...it sounds like blurred nonsense... anyone know why?...

if you're just using adapters to plug the mic directly into your computer you should use a mic preamp

there are mic pre's in mixers, and you can get one for cheap... check out the behringer ub series
