I like how it keeps my coffee table from getting moisture rings. I dont want to have to re-varnish it.

Dreamgirl is pretty good, and the American Baby intro kicked ass live. I cant stand most of the rest of the album.

Stand Up is a good album. but a good dmb album isn't want fans like us want.

After seeing my two hartford shows, the second of which was the best dmb show i've ever seen out of... 7? i went to the tweeter center second night and was uberly disappointed because it was the same damn thing i heard at hartford (i had missed #34 the night before). Now though, i'd pay to see one more show late in the tour.

Louisiana Bayou, YMDT, Hello Again, ABI, Hunger are all great songs that we can take away from Stand Up.

i really really like everything about dreamgirl. i think it's just a great song(and could not have been happier when it opened the show i went to). i like a lot of the lyrics(they're pop but clever, and somehow he almost gets away with it) i like stolen away, hunger for the great light and depending on my mood other songs(sometimes old dirt hill and hello again) and bayou is a pretty cool song(like everything else- better live). i think the expectations were set so high for the album that is was pre-determined to fail(you can't make another before these crowded streets).
hosting the oscars is like winning the heisman trophy. no matter how you do in the ballgame, or whatever, they can't take it away from you. and even if you kill your wife and an ex-waiter, they still have a hard time taking it away from you

its funny you say that because i thought the exact opposite. i think ODH on the album is very strong but live it is pretty weak IMO. They did it as the first encore at randalls night 1 and i think it really killed the little energy the crowd had at that point. but to each his own

I was at both Alpine Shows this year...Bayou on the electric is completely amazing. Im against Dream Girl and Hunger live cuz for some fucking reason they played both DG and HFTGL both nights...that pist me off but other than that, ALL of Stand Up kicks ass live, even Smoothrider and Steady as We Go. i can post any songs you wanna hear. i got both alpine nights from this year.

I like American Baby, Dreamgirl, AB intro, Steady as We go, Stolen Away, Smooth Rider. But I don't love these songs... Just "like" them.

For some reason, most people dislike AB or Dreamgirl, I find them to be the two best songs on the album.

Just love the vibe it puts off, great for a BBQ/Backyard music. Just a feel good album barring OOMH and SAWG all of the songs are fun to bob your head to.

I threw my Stand Up disc like a frisbee & decapitated a duck today.

That's pretty positive?

Only if you cooked the duck and ate it.
