Positive Stand Up talk

Unread post by i like tictacs » Thu Aug 11, 2005 9:28 pm

What do you LIKE about stand up? I don't give a crap what you don't like. I want to hear what you like.

For me, it's the bassline in Hunger, I love the music in dreamgirl, and I think I'm the only one who likes the acapella outro to ODH.

I actually really like all of ODH for some reason, we are definitely in the minority on that one though.

I love it all besides Steady as We Go and Out Of My Hands. The reason being...lack of good guitar. Dave is a genious at writing, why not play your guitar. Other than that, a few of my favorite DMB songs are on this album (Louisiana Bayou, YMDT, & Dreamgirl).

i actually like all songs on there except smooth rider and everybody wake up. like if they come up on the ipod i will listen to them. I love the music in ODH, Dream Girl, American Baby, Hello Again, Louisiana Bayou. In fact i find myself going through my playlists to play those songs actually.

I enjoyed having a concert early in the tour before I listened to the album more than maybe two times. I got to learn the lyrics while live. It was kinda cool. I remember listening to HFtGL at least 4 times in the car after hearing it on 6/4.

And Louisiana Bayou kicks major ass...how is it live on electric? I got 2 acoustic performances of it.

I like Dreamgirl, ODH, Hello Again, and Louisiana Bayou.

My favorite part of those songs is the chorus for Hello Again ... It's just fucking gibberish and I love it :D

The rest? Meh.

I like in the booklet how it says for American Baby that LeRoi is on Sax and Pyrotechnics.

i think it's awesome that he ventured away from the guitar. i mean it was only two songs, and the songs weren't bad. well, out of my hands wasn't bad. if he would have done a complete album of it, i would agree w/ you, but going across the line for 2 songs doesn't bother me at all. especially for out of my hands. when he says "and all the people stand behind him and smile" i get goosebumps. i think that song may have the best lyrics off of the album.
