Whats up guys. I just downloaded this video from Kazaa and it is amazing. It is a record release party for RTT and the guy on the video says it is daves first in-store appearance(I dont know if it is true or not). It is amazing to see dave 10 years ago, he looks so young, and vibrant, this is the Dave Matthews that people fell in love with. The quality is pretty good, and it is almost 30 mins long. Dave just lets the crowd call out what songs they want to hear, which i think is pretty cool, he starts with LIOG, Nancies, Typical Situation, Two Step, and finishes with an amazing Warehouse. I definately reccommend checking it out.

I just watched it, and he doesn't say tuned down for effects, he says out of tune for effects, dave states numerous times that he has trouble tuning his guitar if you watch other videos.. i'm guessing its just out of tune, not intentionally

well either way, i promise he isn't all the way in 440 standard. if he isn't dropped half a step then he's just flat...but if your guitar is in tune w/ itself it doesn't really matter as long as you don't have other instruments w/ you...either way, you have to retune to play along w/ it.

I know that:) But just like Gravedigger when he plays on the sidestage were Mraz was playing, he goes something like"I have trouble tuning my guitar, ask*forget name*"

To even hear that Dave tuned his guitar town a half-step is hilarious, especially back in the day. He is notorious for not knowing how to tune his guitar. I think DropD is quite a stretch for him..........

i used to be able to tune a guitar by ear, and then a got a little machine and could no longer tune it by ear- now ive reached the next level, which is no longer being able to tune a guitar with the machine.....

Dave is definately tuned down a half step in that video. I've tried to play along with it when I am in standard but cannot.
