points to consider bassman:
1: get better
2: practice bass every second of your breathing life (unless you suck then just quit)
3: wooten came out of his mom playing bass, not like the rest of us pussies who came out crying and covered in blood. and when he had to eat when he was jamming, he made his family feed him. nothing got inbetween him and his bass

what about my friend chris harrington, he is literally bored of wooten, hes like extremely good, technically, rythmetically, and grooveability. if any of that makes sense, mainly he knows all the technically crap and is good at it. he knows theory and all scales, modes, and such to make good basslines. and hes real easy to groove with and just jam out with.
(last part said by my brother whose played with him alot and is a drummer)

alot of vics songs he cant copy exactly, but he can groove like him, hes got just that style down, but he doesnt wanna try and copy it so much to where he doesnt have a style of his own. but he amazed me sunday when he played this jazz thing with his friends, it sounded literally like wooten, without seeing him playing and just listening to it id think it was.i like tictacs wrote:i find it hard to believe he's bored with wootenbassman462 wrote:why? just because he wants to play more different stuff and be diverse?
