so i wasn't all that crazy about elixers. i've given them a go before, poly, nano, light, medium. but i just wasn't all that crazy about the twangy sound that they produced.

until now. they just released these phospher bronze nanowebs that are sweet. to me it sounds better deeper and richer than the D'darrios that i had been playing with lately, but still have the comfort of the coated strings. haven't gotten too much playing time with them, but apparently they last significantly longer than the normal elixers. and they damn well better because i ended up paying $17 for the things, and i supposedly got a "deal," but you know how guitar shop guys are.

i like light polys. i like the feel and they play great. i use to play with just whatever kinda strings, cheap kinds and all, but after elixirs came with my alvarez, i could really tell the difference in tone and in feel. I'll prob pick up the bronze ones u are talking about and I think when my polys go out ill pick up some nanos just to see.

Exact same as me. bought an alvarez, played on the elixers, nearly shit at how much better I played on them.

I'm stuck on the Light-Meium Nanowebs.
if i can get the bronze ones for cheap ill give em a shot.

yea i like that coating on the polys... i know the nanos are suppose to resemble more traditional guitar strings, but i especially like sliding on the polys cause it really cuts down on the "sccccrEEEEEEErr "

I've always enjoyed the sound and feel of both the nanoweb and polyweb strings, but this guy isn't kidding about the tone of the new phosphor bronze ones. I put the light set on my Blueridge, and thats how an acoustic is supposed to sound.

Polyweb Lights. I may try moving up to mediums whenever I buy next. I pretty much beat the strings to Hell.

I test marketed these strings a few months back. I nearly had a stroke.
I've been playing Elixirs on my Taylor since I bought it, and was just about to make the move to EXPs. These Elixirs showed up in the mail, with a card requesting feedback. As soon as my guitar was back in tune, I fell in love.
I nearly cried the day I had to take them off and send them back to Elixir.
They were on my guitar for 6 weeks and still had a good amount of life in them, but Elixir needed them back for analysis.

I miss them dearly, the nanowebs make my guitar sound like a toy compared to the phos-bronzes. I can't wait till I need new strings.
(I have 2 boxes of Nanowebs that I have to get through first.)

Phos-Bronze Elixirs
joe.
