well the show that i'm talking about is when they played it at miami this year. specifically the part is when dave sings "for the beauty of wynona" tim plays the melody of that line on the guitar. it sounds amazing, but then again it is tim.

actually my friend and i might have figured it out..(more like he figured it out)

add a bit of bend/vibrato or a pull off where you like.
if anyone finds a better way, post it

I realized that the bend sounds best on that 7. also, wasnt trying to sound cocky by saying if you can find a better way, post it.
