Ben Pezzner's original piano recordings thread (update 7/30)

Unread post by BenPezzner » Fri Jul 29, 2005 1:21 pm

Alright, I haven't been recording much for the past few months, so hopefully this will make up for it. I'll try to do one of these every day. Enjoy!

very pretty playing...I think sometimes the song itself seemed to wander, and I couldn't really tell where it was going, but besides that, nice expression and flourishes...very pretty

Thanks. It doesn't really go anywhere - it's just random noodling. I'll work on that though.

I know dick about composition and whatnot, but I just wanted to say that I d/l'd and listened to both and they put me in a super good mood. Sounds really good man, you've got an extraordinary amount of talent ben. Keep posting stuff.

hey, this shows some great passion. Starts out unorgainized and offtrack, but after a minute, you got REALLY into it, and the melody comes out.

Do you listen to New Age?

your progression and melody are VERY SIMILAR to New Age music. New Age, you know the section of "modern classical" and "relaxing "massage" music" . yeah, very nice, i always want to play piano, but havent gotten the chance, i think i'll learn in college. lol.

you also have a great ability to carry the song with energy. You know when you play hard and when to let it sooth. THats what make it so good. and often get that out of piano players more than guitar players.

You should organize it and have more structure and melody to it.

comments above are based on the first recording. the second recording is not as good.
