I just can't believe they keep releasing shows with Watchtower as a closer (or in the encore at least.) I swear, that song is sooooo worn out on their official releases. Other than that, I kinda dig the set. I haven't heard the show, but '96 was a great year for the band. One of their best. And there really aren't that many decent recordings from that time. If any.

That is more along the lines of what i was trying to say, and Dale, i apologize for telling you to shut the fuck up. I really shouldn't have crossed that line with words like that. I really shouldn't browse these boards as drunk as i sometimes do. I hope you won't hold it against me.DMBassist52 wrote:dmfollower wrote:If you collect shows, then it really shouldn't matter what shows they release. If you don't collect shows then you should be happy that your getting anything at all. And if you talking shit about there setlists from 9 years ago then you just need to shut the fuck up.Dale_Milligan wrote:I think at this rate the Live Trax have now run their course.
I'm sad cause all the released live trax have been shows that i already haveI agree completely. I've started collecting shows recently though, so I've been fortunate not to have shows I have bootlegged released. But if you don't like it, don't buy it. It is that simple. But I'm glad DMB is doing the Live Trax thing.
Anyway, i think dmb's managment should hook up with tapers and try figure the rarest shows that were most likely not tapped by fans and then release those, cause those are the ones i need

If they do a Live Trax from '05, I can almost guaruntee it will be from Red Rocks. Think about it. Do you know how many casual DMB fans have the old Red Rocks CD? The marketing would be unparalleled. The title of the CD would sell itself, regardless of the performance. And lets face it, on a corporate level, DMB + RR = a cash cow.
what do you know, kahn sobered up and made a good point
