He just had a different idea of what he was looking for in a recording, that's all. Like I said, maybe I'm posting my stuff on the wrong forums.
I was only trying to say that because he's such a talented musician his opinions/thoughts/critiques should carry a lot of credibility. But instead, it seems he got slammed for voicing his objective critique. That's all.
I appreciate the compliments, but I wouldn't say I always carry credibility. I'm far from perfect.

 i've been guilty of this before too. the person that puts up the recording should be the only one that has anything to say about someone's critique.

This is the most rediculous statement I've ever read. I'm thinking of putting it in my signature

as far as the recording goes
it was ok, nothing wrong w/ it. i liked it. soothing, relaxing. you should think about doing a whole album of this stuff, making it perfect, and then selling it as a relaxing tape. i think the "soloing" if that's what you want to call it did get a bit messy in parts, but nothing that would take me out of the trance that it put me in. i would follow pat's advice and move a bit up and down the fret board some more. not add more notes, just move octaves in the notes you did play. get high some get low some. it adds emotion.

good job though overall.

cooooooooooooooooool

...you should try to actually follow the vocals w/ a bass line. get the melody down and then maybe do some jam or solo stuff when there would be no singing. that would be freaking tits.
