Stand Up Survivor - Round 4

Unread post by Mikey » Fri Jul 22, 2005 8:48 am

Stand Up and Steady As We Go are long gone. We got 6 songs left. This round, only one song goes. You know the drill, voting ends Sunday.

Peace, Mikey

Finally Stand Up is gone! But, now it's getting hard. I like all the remaining songs, Dreamgirl gets my vote.

YMDT will recieve my vote. I think it is a cool song, but I think I like the other ones better.

I predict it will be gone after round 4...

I've been voting by what it sounds like on the actual CD so I had to go with Bayou. The CD version sucks, that monotone Boyd jam at the end is horrendous. Live this song does kickass however.

Die Trying for Me...
but I would have voted on AB Intro, I don't think that song will make it to the end though

I can't understand how YMDT is at the top of the list. It's the most DMB of old-like track and in my opinion the only decent track on this over produced, odd riff laden, hip hop produced in a couple of weeks trainwreck album.

This blurb I got from the SI link that Kanter posted sums up the direction this heavily marketed disc is going:

SI: Stand Up is the background music for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour '06 videogame.

First, a VIDEOGAME, second and more importantly a GOLF GAME!?

Right?

I keep second guessing myself, like I'm not smart enough or too old to appreciate this disc.

Forget that, it ain't me, it's the disc it just ain't good.
