First chord:
Notes - F A D G
Relate that to the F major scale: 1 3 6 2

So we have the 1st, 3rd, 6th and the 2nd.
I'm probably wrong, but I think it's an Fmaj6sus2 (or is it add 2)

I think I did that right.

Second chord:
Notes - G F# D
Relate that to the G major scale: 1st 7th 5th

I think that's a Gmaj7, but I'm not since there's not a third.

Third chord - Same chord, different voicing.

Fourth chord:
Notes: Eb A D G C
Relate that to the Eb major scale: 1st b5 7th 3rd 6th

I'm not really sure, I dont know much about naming the chords with altered tones. (b/#5, b/#9)

That probably doesnt help, but it might get you started. Also, when naming chords, it depends on what note you use as the root.

Assuming that they're not inversions - Fmaj6add9, Gmaj7(no 3rd), Dadd11(no 5th), Eb diminished of some sort. That last one sounds a little too dissonant to use effectively.

Edit: You posted right before me Pat. Good work though. You were right for the most part.

I would say:

Dmsus/F, Gmaj7, Dadd4, D11/Eb

a lot of these can be correct (except the "sus" ones. remember, it cant have a third if is a suspension), but its actually really difficult to tell without hearing them within the context of a song. a lot of these fit into major and minor diads or perfect fifths, but none of them have complete triads. because of this, you have to be able to see these chords in context

except that last one, its just plain gross

Hehe I like it. It's a great transition chord. Like going from chorus back into a verse.

Thanks a lot. Even if those are wrong, they will be close enough.
