Which do you guy prefer live?

I don't know exactly what the name of the shure one is but I think I got it right.

Personally I think the AKG is better. But that's just me.

well we have to know the model
the difference between the shure 58 and 57 series is quite a bit
what will you be using it for?
live vocals?
the shure beta 58a is a killer lead vocal mic

i've always used shure's, just preference

I just borrowed a shure sm58 from my housemate to record my latest a capella recording. I'll post it in its own thread. I really like the shure mic though. Sounds awesome and even picks up the cello real well.

Live Mics

If you have a little extra cash to spen the Shure Beta 87c is a great live mic....very hot signal, I also use it in recording vocals in the studio and live the SM58 is the work horse of vocal mics though, never fails.
