I don't think anyone wants to get rid of him. They just don't want to see him as a full fledged recognized member of the band. That'd be like the Beatles recognizing Clarence as the 5th Beatle.

dmb anounced awhile back that he is an unofficial member, because they want to make him an official member but RCA wont sign him under the band, and i dont think butch really wants to be signed under, but they said consider him a member, becuase they do.
