I think Santana's a lot better than you people give him credit for. I prefer Haynes, but saying Santana sucks.....?

Go listen to Samba Pa Ti. He plays with such emotion. And when he played at woodstock, he was high on lsd, and believed that the neck of his guitar was a giant snake.

I'd say santana.

Haynes ripped on cortez, but what the fuck did he ad to jimi thing or anythign else?

I thought sanatana made warehouse sound unbelievable, and then added a lot to sugar will.

I agree with Warehouse, but I like SW without him more.

i think santana made warehouse sound awesome, but i believe if you were to take each him out of warehouse and haynes out of cortez, there would be more missing from cortez. as for his talent level, let's be fair, his riffs are pretty similar. can he play with style, soul and flair- unquestionably. but there are many artists that have had marginal talent levels but were amazing performers, so to justify him as good by a live performance is unfair. as a guitarist, haynes, in my opinion has the ability to play different styles of music and can adapt with artists- santana has to have artists adapt to him. both are very good guitarists, but haynes is better, and cortez without him would be worse then warehouse without santana. if that makes sense.

ive gone off santana a bit , santana has cool albums (due to his awsome 30 piece backing band, and ability to collaborate with anyone he likes at will) but ive never thought he was such a good "guest star" he rocks his own songs but doesnt really fit to well with dave...(i think santana and carter should do a show)

warren hames on the other hand, gels better (i think) with dmb and its style more than govt muel
