Save Me
Save Me
Ok, how do you guys play this song? I use the tab from this site but when playing the 355 chord then to the 3 5 part, I need some kind of fill to play because there is a long pause between playing the 3 5 part back to the 355 chord part. Hopefully you guys understand what I am saying and can help. Thanks

coyoteguy: It has a lot to do with how Dave mutes his guitar. Hopefully someone here can give you a good example of it but do a search for "muting" and anything of that sort. It has been talked about before. If I had more time I would explain it better, sorry man. It's basically a quick Down/Up stroke after time the chord is hit(basically...that's a quick terrible example but it works if you know it). SOMEONE HELP HIM!!!

Anyway, you have to keep your right hand moving at all time. Keep strumming even if you aren't hitting any strings. If you watch Dave, his hand is always moving. Thats how he stays in rhythm. Just start playing like a fuckin maniac, get aggressive with your playing if you want to sound like Dave. In between notes when he mutes strings he just lays a few fingers over all the strings and it makes "chika" noise. Like Jared said, if you are muting the strings and do a quick down and upstroke it makes that sound.
