I get what you mean, but still, where the hell did that come from. The kid wants a video of someone playing it so he can watch and learn.

For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

Hey what part arent you understanding in BTMB. The tab posted on this thread is basically dead on. Try these chords for the verse, to get a fuller sound.
"This is a call to the colorblind"
-0--0--0--0-----------------
-0--0--0--0-----------------
-7--6--0--9-----------------
-0--0--9--6-----------------
-7--7--7--7----------------

"This is an IOU"

-9---9------------

-9---7------------

I did not indicate strumming pattern, but when you play the chords it should be pretty simple to understand how to play the pattern correctly. THis is just the verse, but an easier way to play it with only chords, making it sound fuller when played solo acoustic.
And definaltley use this site for all of your Mayer tabs inquistions:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/g403z/
More accurate than jmtabs.

Yeah, the picking pattern is what John uses when he plays it solo acoustic.
And you can get an acoustic version of it here, in case you weren't aware of the site:
