i did 100 years by five for fighting once, and i've wanted to do the luckiest. but no recording, sorry.
hosting the oscars is like winning the heisman trophy. no matter how you do in the ballgame, or whatever, they can't take it away from you. and even if you kill your wife and an ex-waiter, they still have a hard time taking it away from you

the composition of the song is similar to a ben folds style song.

do you really want to do a recording of a song thats all about getting an abortion?

why dont you just write an origional. call it, "what wormann's mom should have done."

Here is what i play. Its not totally accurate, but its mainly just the chords D, and that G chord showed below. I forget the name of it. I also did not tab the BRIDGE, but this will get you started. There are only about 3 or 4 chords used really. Enjoy.

this is main part:

VERSE:

-2---------2--------0-------------0----------0----------0----
----3--------3--------3---------------3----------3--------3-
------2--------2-------------------------2----------2--------
-0---------0--------0-----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------3----------3----------3----

Code: Select all

"And we drive...now that i....."

---------------
--3-------3---
--2-------2---
--0-------0--- X2
--2----------
----------3--
"And shes feeling more alone...."
--0----0--------------------------
--3----3--------------------3------
--2----2--------------------1------
--0----0----X2-------------0-------
-----------------------------2------
-------3--------------------0----------

Code: Select all

the last chord showed , E7 , is played right before the chorus. If you listen to the song you know what im talking about.

CHORUS:

G , G , A , D

G , G , A , Bm

G , G , A , D

Hope this works out, tim

The tab looks pretty good, but on the fingerpicking part it seems like this part:

-2---------2--------0-------------0----------0----------0----
----3--------3--------3---------------3----------3--------3-
------2--------2-------------------------2----------2--------
-0---------0--------0-----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------3----------3----------3----

should be different, or something at that point is off, I dont know...
Anyone think something needs to be different or have any ideas whats off?

E-------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the intro riff. The open strings give a pedal tone type effect. Sorry I didn't do the whole thing...

shit I've been trying to figure out what that song is about for a really long time. I thought it had something to do with guy/girl getting in trouble for something but i never figured it out.

Wow, it seems really obvious now...

I'm gonna go hide in a corner

It wasn't really well-known what the song was about until he explained that it was about he and his high school girlfriend getting an abortion in interviews and Ben Folds Live.
