if you could create a DMB setlist....
Ok this is the deal. I searched the threads from a while back, and what I found was people naming their favorite DMB songs. But since I am going to my first DMB show Sept. 6th, I have been thinking about what songs I would love to hear. So I wanted to know, if you could create your own Dave Matthews Band, live, full-band concert setlist, what would it be? Try to limit it to 16-18 songs and at most 3 encore songs. Such difficult choices, but this is my list:
I Did It
Lie in Our Graves
Warehouse
Crush
Bartender
Cry Freedom
So Much To Say
(Trans) What Would You Say
(Trans) Drive In, Drive Out
Don't Drink the Water
Tripping Billies
Lover Lay Down
Digging a Ditch
The Stone
Satellite (fast paced)
Say Goodbye
Jimi Thing
Two Step
Encore:
Stay
Grey Street
I Did It
Lie in Our Graves
Warehouse
Crush
Bartender
Cry Freedom
So Much To Say
(Trans) What Would You Say
(Trans) Drive In, Drive Out
Don't Drink the Water
Tripping Billies
Lover Lay Down
Digging a Ditch
The Stone
Satellite (fast paced)
Say Goodbye
Jimi Thing
Two Step
Encore:
Stay
Grey Street
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.

This really belongs in the General DMB Discussion.

i personally like something long and jam worthy as an opener. like for me the perfect opener is Seek Up. the intro to PNP into the PNP/Repunzel is also really good as well as 41. but it doesn't get any better than seek up. i also loved the last stop opener w/ the jam at the end on the Chicago Cd. that was pretty freaking awesome.

I see....I did not realize that there was a general discussion for DMB. I basically just look through Dave's Guitar Discussion, for I have a small attention span...well done.Roastbeef wrote:This really belongs in the General DMB Discussion.

My closer was stay. Only concert i've ever been to, and everyday opened for me too dmbfan. He played warehouse and blew me away. But that song can go anywhere. I completely agree withyou though appsoldier. seek up would be an awesome opener.

that's horrible. That is why i would never do drugs or even drink before a concert. Not that i would do it anyways, but i couldnt imagine giong to a concert and not remembering it!
