quite good.
hosting the oscars is like winning the heisman trophy. no matter how you do in the ballgame, or whatever, they can't take it away from you. and even if you kill your wife and an ex-waiter, they still have a hard time taking it away from you

Yea there have been downloads of a few of the songs here before, but the whole thing hasn't been available for a while. Plus, I don't thing DMB ever sold the album or tried to make money off of it.

Cool, I replaced some of the tracks I have from the LS that were sratched and copied poorly.

Anybody have the 2nd disc with Build You A House, the alternate Bartender, alternate GIG, and GIG Prelude? I think there were a couple of other tracks too, maybe. I used to have it, but lost it somewhere along the way.

I didn't even know the Lillywhite Sessions had a 2nd disc, but I found this studio #40 that says it came from the lillywhite sessions. I'm not sure if it really was part of the lillywhite studio work or not, but its still pretty cool because I did not think that they recorded #40 in a studio at all.

I have them all on soulseek plus an alternate Busted Stuff and JTR. I'll yousendit for anybody else that wants them in this thread when I get home tonight.

That is not a studio recording its from a gig they did at Yoshi's in 1995.

I see a lot of questions floating around, so I'll try to answer them all. The Lillywhite sessions are not "copyrighted" in the traditional sense, since they were never released, and according to the generally accepted story, Lillywhite said it was ok to distribute the sessions. Regardless, a battle of labels followed, but in the end the Lillywhite Sessions are regarded as O.K. to trade.

I YouSendIt'd the Lillywhite Sessions on this very board, along with The Lost Acoustics, no more than two months ago, so there should be quite a few copies of them floating around here.

There is no Disc 2 of the Lillywhite Sessions. Build You a House is not offically part of the Lillywhite Sessions, but it was recorded around the same time that the Lillywhite Sessions were taking place (I have it as a bonus track on my own CD). I'm not sure about Grace is Gone, but I know for a fact that #40 was NOT recorded as part of the Lillywhite Sessions and that that is a common misconception.
