i need to convert these so i can get them on my ipod, but it takes 539874937 years for one song to convert to wav.

what's the most efficient way to convert these to something my ipod/itunes can use?

That long eh? Upgrade to a Pentium I processor

In all honesty it takes a maximum of a minute to decompress a .shn to a .wav on my Celeron clocked at 433MHz.

There may be a plugin so that iTunes can run .shn's, but that wouldn't really be worth it since the iPod still wouldn't be able to play them.
