The article wrote:``It's really perplexing,'' said police spokeswoman Nancy Mulroy. ``His music is so mellow, and his people tell us they don't have these problems anywhere else.''
Should I shoot her an e-mail spelling out what that means?

So all they did, as far as i could tell, was just tell people to get in the venue as soon as the gates opened at 5 o'clock. thus, people had to pay like 7 bucks for a beer instead of 7 bucks for a six pack.

they should have been more worried about making sure no one got on stage.

not strict at all if you were tailgaiting, just as long as you weren't that rowdy, and you were drinking from cups.

There was a lot of police patrolling and stuff, i think it was just to make themselves a presence.

The only thing that was a bummer is what Andrew said. They were forcing everyone out of the lots so early (making us leave like 530ish when dmb doesn't get on till like 830ish)..i think that's what could have caused the lack of energy that i felt from the crowd.

that's all they care about at spac. otherwise they don't say much of anything at all..they just walk around and say, "can you put that in a cup?" or the worst thing that would happen is they take the can that you have and pour it out and ask you to use cups instead.

I went on saturday, it was a good show, not great, but they did a good job of entertaining. But about the tailgating thing, personally, I was happy it was toned down this year. Bu then again I don't drink or do drugs, so... that may be why. But they really weren't that strict about it, so I don't understand why eveyone got their underwear up in a bunch about it

"Don't drink or smoke", how is life worth living?
Anyways, I went to the Sat. show and I thought it was very good. The place goes dead when songs from the new album were played, but I thought they were super duper.
I talked about this in the general DMB area, but I had a real problem with the venue's decision to force people to wait in a huge line to get a bracelet and then wait in another huge line to get a beer. It felt like I was being treated like cattle. I am 25 years old and if I want a dam beer for $7 then I should not have to go through this type of crap. I also thought it was a joke that they forced everyone to use one exit and walk around the venue to get to the parking areas.
The tail-gaiting was not too bad. More cops then last year and people were forced to go in early, but I paid the $20 for a side parking area and boosed right up till 7:45. Real DMB fans would never riot of fight, but so many 17-21 year olds are at the show boozin with no supervision so there were occasional fights and the random chick puking her brains out. I love seeing the kids sitting on the hill as you walk into the venue. They just dropped $50 of their parents money to get a ticket and now are too wasted to stand up. Good stuff. Oh and the ladies at the show, grade A quality meat!
