Well not really. The body isn't as thick as you'd think. I'd say the bass is actually pretty balanced with everything else really, but a bit more then like a guitar that has average bass to it. At least that's the impression I had when I was playing, and I played some songs in the store like Halloween and dancing nancies to see what that E string (especially) sounded like
edit: It isn't twangy or muted either, it sounds very clean like you can hear each string individually or a very clean sound if u just strum through a few times
I'm at work right now so if I made some big mistake buying it it's still in the box lol. I played it at the shop, bought it, but then I had to go back to work so. I don't think so though I thought it was nice. Unless someone on here comes along and tells me some horror story or something.

i doubt you could get a Koa for less than 1000. It's just too damned expensive.Grachi wrote:www.alvarezgtr.com then go to acoustic guitars, artist series, then AD60CK. thats from the main site.

Probably. I don't know. Honestly I don't care too much cuz i've been playing it all day and it just gives me the chills opposed to my old guitar. I mean I was playing a Jasmine before, but I'm likin' this the more I play it.
I need to get an amp or something too now... And I can play into my computer too which has me excited.
i know this isnt a great reason, but it was more of a tie breaker reason then anything, but user ratings and reviewers gave this one a better score then other ones I had played in the store too so. I just tried to see which one had the most advantages. It was between this, that takamine I had mentioned, and an Ibanez I tried but I don't remember the model exactly now...

Not true. Hawaiian koa is a little harder to find, but it's sister trees in Tazmania aren't that rare.Dancing Ants wrote:i doubt you could get a Koa for less than 1000.
