do you have a reason? or are you just jealous because hes better than you?
For the record, I think it's very interesting how you try to 'dis this guy by saying he's not as good/and jealous of this this Trace dude.

In my experience people that accuse others of being jealous are usually jealous themselves. Although this may not be the case here, what's the point of trying to put this guy down? Someone posted this clip (again btw) and I think it's assumed on a forum that people will post what they think about it.

Not trying to pick a fight, but personally I take no shame in admitted I have much to learn in all things, including, but not limited to the guitar.
I agree C_tietz. This place is turning into Ant's
whoa jelly i think you may have missed my post around the middle of Page 2 of this thread...i had to clear up that my comment wasnt meant the way it could have been...i was honnestly askin seth why he didnt like trace, the "not as good as you" part was just a little joke, i wasnt tryin to be condescending or whatever at all. im not jumpin on you for sayin this place is turning into another Ant's, i just dont want you to think my comment was derrogatory or whatever

Praisedave - I misunderstood you about learning the song in three days. Me bad. As for the playing, decent, but i thought it would be a little cleaner, and as mentioned above, and less inconsistent. Its a tough song, and well done for 2 yrs experience, but it is definatley not close too perfect. But it will only get better w time. How much of tims solo acoustics have you learned. He has alot of wicked fun to play songs. I try to learn a new acoustic Tim song a week. He has tons available on his site. It took me a while to get clean enough to make his songs come alive, but once i did i became more obsessed w learning all his songs, like i did w Dave, 6 years ago. Good job though, not too shabby.

I didn't think you were asking me, but I don't think YOU'RE dumb, but I think agree about the capo trick looking a little silly.

Yeah the dvd is great. Check the bonus features for two more songs. Including a cover of backstreet boys, iwant it that way. Very cool.

Wow, interesting thread

Unread post by elephantman » Thu Jun 30, 2005 12:55 am

So I just read through this whole thread - quite interesting! I was laughing pretty hard. It started out talking about Trace's 5-capo song, then got on the topic of whether he is gay or not, then turned into a big fight. Come on, that's pretty funny. Especially since Trace is probably one of the nicest, most sincere musicians I've ever met. (I seen him play now a few times, and he talked to me every time)

My few cents on a few things in this post:
- Of the 5 capos he uses in "Hot Capo Stew", all but one are being utilized throughout the song. The second one from the nut is completely covered up by the 3rd one. All the rest have at least one string being used. Before H.C.S, he plays a song using each capo as he builds up the 5 capo song. Finally, at the end, he then rips them off one by one. So in that sense, all the capos are being used at some point. Very fun to see live. Not silly in my opinion. Innovative.

- No, I don't think he's gay. He tells a lot of stories and talks about past girlfriends and such at his concerts. But hey, what does it matter.

- His little video clips online don't do the CD-DVD much justice. And the CD/DVD doesn't totally do his live shows justice. His concerts are super fun. The clips seem to just show his faster, more "showy" stuff. I highly recommend his CD (Adapt) and definitely seeing him live. I think a lot of people make quick judgements just by watching a 30sec video clip. I have lots of respect for Bundy.

I agree, I have probably seen him about 10 times and he may be one of the nicest people around.
