My DDTW Cover

Unread post by Appfro » Thu Aug 21, 2003 11:25 pm

Here it is. If you can get past the flat screams, then tell me what you think of it. I promise in the near future aka when i get enough money to get some cool pedals, then i will do some solo's and lead effects parts. but for now, one vocal, one guitar. sorry for the flats  but tell me what you think of the rest.

Okay, now that I've downloaded and listened to it. It's actually quite good. As you acknowledge, you don't seem to have much confidence behind the yelling, so it comes off kinda flat. You're going to have to wait to ask some of the better singers around here how to fix it though, because I'm in the same boat as you are.

The other problem is the kbps rating you encoded the mp3 at. 256kbps is kinda excessive. With the way angelfire works, you won't be able to have many people download the song before it shuts you down for awhile I try and keep to a file size of 3 MB or less, but most people seem to go for a 5 MB or so size.

Not sure what app you're using, but if it's Cool Edit Pro, try decreasing your sample rate. I use 44100 Hz, Stero, 16-bit and it is certainly adequate. I end up with 128 kbps MP3s and they're the typical 5 MB for a 5 minute song.

I tried to download this but you seemed to have taken it down...
