Stand Up european release?

Unread post by catho » Sat Jun 04, 2005 5:27 pm

Are they going to try to get Stand Up into europe and maybe have a tour here? I'm hoping but it seems that it's not gonna happen... :(

pretty sure it was released on the 16th (monday, standard release date) in the UK. not sure about the rest of the europe since DMB completely severed its RCA Europe ties a couple years ago. i think you'll be seeing a european tour sometime soon after the summer tour. that's just a feeling I have.

Err? OH! You misunderstood.

The CD is going to be released, that's no biggie and Ill buy it in a store nearby. But I was refering to a release as in promotion and trying to get peoples attention etc. As it has been with all DMB albums they just add a few copies to the shelves and never promote or announce them as new and thats it. I want some DMB action here!

They had a European tour starting in October 2001 all ready. It was cancelled after September 11th. The Australia tour was their first outside the country since then, so that's one of the reasons I think you can expect a European tour.

Yeah, I hope so. But on the other hand, Stand Up is probably gonna flop pretty hard here since its not that good really. I mean, they had a small tour for crash (I think) and that didnt make them famous here, so hows Stand Up gonna match that?

I think if stand Up was released over here in the UK it would actually have a better chance of success than the earlier stuff. As mentioned in previous threads this album has reached new fans because of its "poppiness".

So maybe its a good time to try and crack Europe!

Us three should hold a rally, just state the time and go around with some signs demanding DMB in your area. :D
