Quick Technique Question

Unread post by CPTino3001 » Tue May 31, 2005 4:50 pm

When recording repetitive riff tracks (ie: something like SMTS, or Stay), is it customary to record segments then loop them for portions of the song?

I was just curious and was going to give it a try as opposed to recording full length guitar tracks.

I'd appriciate any input...

i use loops only when writing a song to help reorder stuff if need be, then when it's the way i want it, i'll rerecord to get a less repeditive sound. it gives me the option of being creative on the final take.
