"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

WLHart wrote:His last show that I was able to go to was sometime last summer, at the Verison Wireless ampitheater in San Antonio. They played four songs that I hadn't heard before. I wrote down the whole set:
Gray Street
Dreaming Tree
Joy Ride
What Would You Say
Sugar Will
Where Are You Going
When The World Ends
Pantala Naga Pampa
Repunzel
Crazy Easy
Lie In Our Graves
Hello Again
I did It
Bartender
Tripping Billies
One Sweet World
Stay
Encore:
Granny
Too Much
-Hello Again was the only one out of the four that I couldn't compare to any other DMB song... I compared Sugar Will to Jimi Thing, Crazy Easy to Seek Up, and Joy Ride to What You Are. As for Hello Again, I was clueless. I still enjoy it though...
i didn't think he played dreaming tree last year.

I was at that show and he definitely didn't. IIRC it was Fool To Think in the second slot.

Crazy-Easy guitar sounds like American Baby. It's the same basis...minus the intro thing. If you play the chords from either song like the other song, then it's basically the same thing. But I love Crazy-Easy. It just seems that Dave likes his new songs better when he writes them then compared to the ones he wrote and played over the summer. The summer songs just woundn't go with the sound of the new cd. Maybe they'll go with something later on, but I remember reading that Dave said he had like 30 new songs to choose from. So I'm sure there are a ton of other things we haven't heard that may come on a different disc someday.

I don't think it sounds anything like American Baby. AB has just three chords and is not complex at all. CE is much more complex having different intro, verse, and chorus chords.
